Jack

Birthdate: 16 Jul 1927

Place: Riga, Austria

Jack (originally Jakob) was just a school boy when he was forced to live in the local ghetto. He was able to escape and survive for some time in hiding but was eventually found and arrested. He was then ferried between several slave labour camps and only manged to survive due to 'miracles' of luck and fate. Towards the end of the war Jack escaped into the forest and was taken in by a deserting German soldier near Magdeburg.
